Beyond the mall mosey?

Research on hormones has left most folks a little bit confused. We will talk about bio-identical hormones and dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) in particular. Not only its benefits in middle age and beyond but, also why supplementing it through the skin is the preferred way. My first guest, Hugh Woodward, MS will help us understand. Then, producer and periodic guest host, Andy Hopkins, wants to take over the microphone and ask me some questions. I don’t know what they are, so it may be a game of stump the chump! (I may have to ask you to help me.) Call the live show with questions at 1-800-281-8255. Click here to find pod-casts, show archives and how to listen nationwide.

 Of course we should exercise…

Duh! We’ve had that pounded into our heads for decades. There really are a lot of reasons to get moving. Just walking 30 minutes a day at a brisk pace can do miracles for weight loss of course but, also depression, bone strength, memory, energy, cravings, skin health, prevention of killer diseases and much more. Appreciating these powerful facts might motivate us to move briskly and not just mosey about the mall.

Link here to a list of 16 powerful reasons and some tips for making it a habit.

It seems a good habit can be broken over night but, it takes weeks to build one. During the holidays there are so many easy excuses to avoid exercise but, I do not want to wait to get cracking until January when there are no close in parking places at the gym. (I might have to walk further.)

LISTEN to that show in the archives. John Young, MD told us a funny story about a patient and a witch doctor but, more importantly how to build a great foundation for health. Recent studies show that we are not getting enough protein. He has a new book, Beyond Treatment, which you can get free with the purchase of one of his kits. Call (800) 770-4470. Yoanna Kanalakis also has a book, Secrets to Looking Young Naturally. That will help us add a good looking face to the healthy body that Dr. Young helps us build. Yoanna is always a hoot. And, watch out Texas, she is coming to visit this week–CHECK HER SCHEDULE.
