Annual surveys show that the most common New Year’s resolution is to lose weight. That makes sense since about 2/3 of the population is overweight or obese. (Then there is the nutty fashion idea that we can never be too thin.) The photo is a model of what 5 pounds of fat looks like. (The scissors are for scale.) If you are struggling, you are not alone because most diets fail. Maybe one or more of these 22 ideas on weight management might help. |

| UPDATE | |||
| According to a new study there is a link between hearing loss and the development of dementia. This confirms earlier work suggesting the same connection. For some reason (vanity or ageism?), people seem to have no trouble going to the eye doctor and coming home with glasses or contacts. But hearing aids? Not so much. Do your brain and your family a favor and get tested. You may be missing out on a lot of the pleasures in life and frustrate those around you. I got tested at Costco. They are very professional and did not pressure me to buy anything. (I did buy my aids there and saved a lot of money.) |

Back in the late nineties when HBN was just starting, Doug Kaufmann was on the same station every week right before us. He went on to became and still is the host of a very popular nationally syndicated TV show, Know The Cause. Doug has authored 12 books on the subject of fungus and ill health of all kinds. Today we discussed The Fungus Link to Women’s Health Problems. (Hint, a hysterectomy is seldom the only or best answer.) Links to Doug’s famous Kaufman Diet Plan and the section of recipes.
