We covered two related topics this week. First up was Sandy Woodruff, MS, RD who is a co-author of  Dr. Vlassara’s AGE-Less Diet: How a Chemical in the Foods We Eat Promotes Disease, Obesity, and Aging and the Steps We Can Take to Stop It. “AGE” is a pun. It is obviously a measure of our getting older. But, they are also initials that describe something worrisome affecting our blood cells and our food. We discussed simple ways to reduce AGE’s such as changing the way we cook food. Link here to a study that Sandy co-authored which explains AGE.

Then I was joined by Tom Monte, author of: Unexpected Recoveries: Seven Steps to Healing Body, Mind, & Soul When Serious Illness Strikes. This book is based on his having talked with many hundreds of people who have overcome life-threatening illnesses, including end-stage cancers, heart disease, severe diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and other diseases using complementary healing methods.
