Retirement and aging expert, Dr. Thelma Reese, will join us to discuss her recent book, The New Senior Man: Exploring New Horizons, New Opportunities. Baby Boomers will have far more years in retirement than previous generations. She says that many are having the time of their lives. Dr. Reese also discusses how to maintain a healthy love life. It is hard to have a good time if you are in pain. Dr. Kotsanis will be in the studio to tell us about a new treatment that is provided at the Kotsanis Institute: Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) I’d also like to ask about two other treatments they offer: hyperthermia and ozone. If we have time we will take calls. Call the live show with questions at 1-800-281-8255. Click here to find podcasts, show archives and how to listen nationwide.

A new review of studies showed that the use of probiotics for preventing respiratory illnesses could save millions of dollars each year…in Canada. Do you think that might also apply in the US or do microbes suddenly behave differently when they cross the border? (Incidentally, I covered some of those same studies in my book, The Probiotic Cure.) This links to an article about the study and this to the study itself. Be sure to read the Quote below. I am very happy I’ve been recommending Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics for so many years. I pray for the day that as the CDC collects data on the flu, they also look at probiotic use and vitamin D blood levels. (I am not holding my breath because recent studies show they don’t seem to know that higher blood levels of D are required to boost immune function than to simply avoid rickets.)

The videos are professionally done and are available as DVD’s as well as online. Use your subscriber code, HBN20, to save 20% off of the enrollment. Click here for more details. The Probiotic Cure. We now know that the microorganisms in our gut are a crucial part of our human instruction manual and that they control thousands of biological functions in our bodies. It is past time that we learned how to care for them because important varieties are disappearing and leaving illness behind. Natural Alternatives to Nexium, Maalox, Tagamet, Prilosec & Other Acid Blockers. Subtitle: What to Use to Relieve Acid Reflux, Heartburn, and Gastric Ailments. Besides explaining the dangers of these medications and helping fix the real cause (which is seldom too much acid) this book is also helpful for solving other digestive problems.
