Let’s not drink to that?

Bill Sardi is my guest. I did not learn the topic in time for this newsletter, but you can bet it will be fascinating. It always is. I hope we will have time for listener questions.

Bill Sardi is a brilliant and prolific author, science investigator, and crusader for sanity in health care. He is also the sharpest supplement formulator I have found. (For example:  Longevinex 866-405-4000, Molecular Multi 800-247-5731, Garligest for heartburn and Garlinex 866-674-3955). email = [email protected].

Opposition not new. This time it is science.

Recently we were debating the definition of “moderate alcohol consumption” because that was supposed to be good for heart health. Now, a new study in the medical journal Lancet, says that when we take into account the damaging effects of alcohol on “cancers, strokes, liver damage, and even tuberculosis[…]violence and alcohol related accidents” there is no safe level.

So, what about the legendary heart benefits of red wine? It seems that the magic is not in the alcohol but rather in the resveratrol it contains. The most reliable way to consume this amazing substance is to supplement it. Please read my article on resveratrol to learn a hint of the wide range of benefits; that some types are not nearly as good as others; and that more isn’t always better.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Last Week Follow-up

LISTEN to that show in the archives.

HBN’s favorite physician, Constantine (Gus) Kotsanis, MD and his nurse, Michelle Lytal, RN, BSN, were in the studio to discuss “apheresis”.  That is a process which removes toxic components (that contribute to disease) and pro-inflammatory proteins from blood. Apheresis Link. Then we visited with Giovanni Filardo, PhD, MPH, the Director of the Epidemiology Department, Office of the Chief Quality Officer, Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH), Dallas, TX.  He is the principal investigator for the All of Us Research Program being conducted at BSWH that was be our topic. Last but far from least, a long time friend of mine from the industry, Brenda Swartz, told us about internal cleansing and its connections to weight loss and inflammation. She will give a talk at Health, Home and Garden Expo on what works for wrinkles, dark spots, and crepe skin.
