One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to lose weight. Sadly, most people don’t or if they do lose, they quickly regain the weight and more because they did not really deal with the basic issues. This week Dr. Frank King, founder of King Bio, and author of The Healing Revolution will explain how hidden culprits make losing weight so difficult. Finally, we can get to the root causes of weight gain and fix them. Then we can stop beating ourselves up because we thought that lack of will power was the problem. Homeopathy is a safe, gentle way to fix imbalances like these. Call the live show with questions at 1-800-281-8255. Click here to find podcasts, show archives and how to listen nationwide.

Don’t beat yourself up. Ambition and positive thinking are great, but unrealistic goals set us up for failure. In the blog this week I’ve explained six New Year’s resolutions that are easy to follow. And yet, they can give our health a good boost or at the very least lay a nice foundation for other more challenging promises that we make ourselves. (Hmm, like going to the gym every day or cutting out all desserts?) Click here to read this week’s blog. |

I am very proud of my first guest, long-time listener Tracy Herbert. She is a delightful person who is dedicated to sharing the secrets of her health success as a wellness guide, fitness coach and now author. Her new is book is entitled Diabetes—Tragedy to Triumph, Lessons from 40 years of beating the odds. My second guest was Judi Zucker. She and her twin, Shari Zucker are co-authors of The Memory Diet: More Than 150 Healthy Recipes for the Proper Care and Feeding of Your Brain. We covered many of the lifestyle and nutritional factors in preventing dementia, but only made a down-payment on the important information from this easy to read book. So, she will return to the show in February. (The sisters also wrote other books including The Ultimate Allergy-Free Cookbook: Over 150 Easy-to-Make Recipes That Contain No Milk, Eggs, Wheat, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Soy, Fish, or Shellfish).
