First up, we will talk about how to keep our poor overworked liver in good shape. My guest, physician Rich Snyder, DO is the author of several books, including What You Must Know About Liver Disease: A Practical Guide to Using Conventional and Complementary Treatments. Next, Anthony Thomas, PhD will join me to discuss natural ways to get a good night’s sleep.  Weather Emergency Suggestions

After the show Saturday, Bill Sardi made several suggestions regarding how we handle such a natural disaster in regard to our health. I’ve given his entire list in the blog. Click here to read this week’s blog.

How Bill Sardi answered calls on Saturday’s show

Bill made a point at the beginning about how he likes to keep his recommendations non-commercial. [He really does.] After the show, he laughed that the questions that happened to come in inspired mentions of products either by him or me.

Macular degeneration. Resveratrol helps. Please read my article on resveratrol to understand that some products are a lot better than others. (More isn’t better.) Fish oil article. Vitamin C to keep capillaries strong. Smoking, acid blocking drugs and aspirin all interfere with vitamin C.

Glaucoma – Hyaluronic acid helps return the eyeball to the proper shape so it can drain normally. Resveratrol is helpful. Generate nitric oxide with garlic, red beet juices, arginine, citraline and resveratrol. Exercise.

Also regarding eye. If you are getting enough lutein (10-12 mg), there will be a yellow dot at the center of the back of the eye. Zinc is important and most people are deficient. (30 mg of a superior form of zinc, plus lutein and vitamin C are in Molecular Multi.)

Numbness in arms and hands. Posture and exercise. Hyaluronic acid (50-100 mg) helps replace the insulation around nerves. (It is contained in Longevinex Advantage.) Taking it triggers the body to make more. Vitamin B12 also helps that sheath around nerves. (If hands turn blue in cold water, research Reynaud’s syndrome. Magnesium required and maybe the nitric oxide activators listed above with glaucoma.)

A caller asked about the difference between Longevinex and Longevinex Advantage. Bill discusses the added anti-aging benefits of the Advantage (lutein / wrinkles & eyes, hyaluronic acid / joints, B1 for darker hair . (Link)

Note: there are various links (e.g. on vitamin C and leukemia) in the review of the show below.

LISTEN to that show in the archives.

By popular demand, Bill Sardi returned to take listener calls which turned out to include eye diseases and numbness in hands and arms. I asked Mr. Sardi about a new study that links the use of common heartburn drugs to dreaded pancreatic cancer. Bill Sardi, is a prolific author, science investigator, and crusader for sanity in health care. (I am pretty sure he has forgotten more than I hope to ever know.) He is also the sharpest supplement formulator I have found. (Examples of his handiwork: Longevinex 866-405-4000, Molecular Multi 800-247-5731Garlinex 866-674-3955, Garligest for heartburn 866-674-3955 (Temporary deal = buy one get on 1/2 off thru 9/2.). I took notes that are in this week’s blogMr. Sardi’s article on vitamin C and leukemia and cancer and another article on Vitamin C. Also My article on Reservatrol
