Clues to Unstable Blood Sugar
Up to 1 in 3 Americans are already experiencing problems with their blood sugar and a high percentage of them don’t even know it. And some who are aware don’t know the potential seriousness of the situation. By the year 2020, it is estimated that 50% of the population will be either diabetic or pre-diabetic.
Diabetes is a very serious disease that can cause life-altering complications and significantly shorten life span. For example, diabetes is a leading cause of heart disease, kidney disease and blindness. The costs of diabetes care will soon be the number one health care expense. That means it affects everyone since healthcare costs not only increase the cost of goods and services, but also make the US less competitive in the global market place—that eliminates jobs.
If you have any of the following signs (or especially if you have a number of them) it would be wise to have your blood glucose checked:
Women with a waist size over 35”
Men with a waist size over 40”
If, when a meal is overdue, you experience: fatigue, mental fatigue, sleepiness, headache or shakiness
Acid reflux
Sleep apnea
Skin tags, Psoriasis and various rashes
High blood pressure
High LDL / low HDL cholesterol
Gall bladder disease, polycystic ovary syndrome, glaucoma, COPD, etc. etc. …
There are other potential causes for all these issues, but they are “associated” with unstable blood sugar. It is a good idea for everyone to have their blood sugar checked now and then. I’ve written an article with more information on what the test numbers mean, the effects of diabetes, and some natural remedies. There is good news too. Well-managed blood sugar results in weight loss (if you need that), improved energy, better moods, sharper mental focus and reduced cravings for starch and sugar. Read the full article at this link.
