Landscape architect and organic horticulturist Howard Garrett is my guest. We will talk about the toxicity of the weed killer Roundup® and its relationship to GMO foods. Don’t miss this important show. Howard is a nationally-syndicated radio host, author and a newspaper columnist. NEWS, but with DIFFERENT VIEWS

In-depth news reporting without inherent bias and sensational overtones seems to become rarer by the day. I’d like to provoke a little alternative thinking on some current subjects:

  • The proposed approval of a female libido drug which may gloss over important health clues.
  • Study shows that too much (over 8 hours) or too little (5 hours) sleep increases the risk of stroke, but reports leave the wrong impression.
  • San Francisco may require sugary-drink warnings, but miss a bigger problem.
  • Egg rationing and why even with price increases they are still a bargain.

Last Week Follow-up

LISTEN to that show in the archives. In the first mini-segment was a continuation of my series of “good news” reports. My main guest was Dr. Ross Pelton, a PhD pharmacist and Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN). We discussed the critical importance of our body’s master antioxidant and detoxifier, glutathione. (Unfortunately, we make less over time and yet we are exposed to ever more toxins.) Dr. Pelton brought news of a very interesting probiotic strain, ME3 that greatly increases glutathione naturally. (It is available in 3 combinations, one for Detox/Liver, Immune/Vitality and Cardiovascular Health.) But, first we connected with Scott C. Tips, on location in Sweden for the 60th anniversary of the National Health Federation. Scott is an attorney and among other roles, he is the President of this noble organization that fights for our health freedoms. He reported briefly on pressures from abroad that may affect our choices in the US.
