Follow up details on amazing vitamin B1

Healthy by Nature radio show THIS WEEK
Two pharmacists! Pharmacist and Certified Clinical Nutritionist, Ray Solano of PDLabs will help us understand how the increase in allergies, GERD, constipation and autoimmune diseases (think rheumatoid arthritis and lupus for example) are connected to a new class of drugs (think Humara). Their other side effects include leukemia and blood disorders. Then Dr. Ross Pelton R.Ph., Ph.D., CCN will talk about summer digestive issues. He is the Scientific Director for Essential Formulas, Inc. At the end of the show we will talk with Charlotte Yorkson of Kaleidoscope Farm about a wonderfully natural way to fertilize all of our plants.

Little vitamin — giant effects

In a recent blog, I reviewed some of the powerful information that Bill Sardi has been giving us lately about vitamin B1, especially in the oil soluble form, benfotiamine. Insufficient amounts of it are the cause of many of the conditions for which modern medicine has no explanations. Since this vitamin is so critical for energy in each cell, you can just imagine why some of the biggest health problems would benefit from more. Bill’s multivitamin, Molecular Multi, has the right form of B1 and enough for normal maintenance. However, if you are working on a specific problem, you may want to take more separately. The pictures above are examples of products. Here is a link to a product on a site with a good selection, reasonable prices and fast service. (I am not associated with them but often use them.)

I think it is worth repeating that if you are taking B1 for therapeutic reasons, you should allow at least 30 minutes between taking it and consuming things that interfere with B1 like coffee, alcohol, sugar, cinnamon, chocolate and even other wonderful poylphenols like resveratrol. I find mid-afternoon the best time to take my B1. Drugs like Metformin and heart burn medicines block B1. Obesity causes deficiency. Diabetics especially need extra vitamin B1. A reminder, B1 needs you to have adequate magnesium.

Bill Sardi mentioned that if a person is craving salt, they may be low in zinc. The herbicide Roundup depletes zinc.

Molecular Multi is a great source of zinc. It is now and even bigger bargain at “Buy 3 / get 2 FREE”.

Ticket Sales are now OPEN

Quote of the week

“When young people tell me about their problems…I like to tell them that story about
the time I survived without my cell phone or the internet for 40 years.”

LAST WEEK Follow-up

LISTEN to that show in the archives.

My guest is our favorite–Bill Sardi. If you might be interested in a nutrient that is important for controlling obesity, diabetes and/or hearing loss, listen. Or, listen if you just want to have a good time and learn other useful information because Mr. Sardi always fills the bill. (No pun intended.) Here is his article on Falling through the cracks and one on macular degeneration. Here is a link to his recent article about fake supplement news. I mentioned this study on zinc helping insulin insensitivity and diabetes.

Mr. Sardi is our resident answer man about dietary supplements. He is commercially involved in the following products we are delighted to advertise at HBN : Molecular Multi 800-247-5731Longevinex 866-405-4000Formula 216 / 833-848-2216; Garligest for heartburn and Garlinex 866-674-3955). email – [email protected].
