| It has been way too long since we talked with my friend Fred Pescatore, MD. He is the author of the New York Times best-selling book, The Hamptons Diet. I’ll ask about what is new in weight loss and you can ask him your questions at 1-800-281-8255. Click here to find podcasts, show archives and how to listen nationwide.

It is a good thing that doctors are now better at resisting the temptation to dispense antibiotics for colds and flu. Those conditions are caused by viruses. And so, we get no benefit from the antibiotic and may suffer their side effects. Here are 3 articles from our library that I hope will be helpful. |

We had TWO heavy hitters this week! My first guest was Steven F. Hotze, MD, the founder and CEO of the Hotze Health & Wellness Center, Hotze Vitamins and Hotze Pharmacy. Hypothyroidism, Health & Happiness: The Riddle of Illness Revealed; and Hormones, Health, and Happiness: A Natural Medical Formula for Rediscovering Youth with Bioidentical Hormones. The topic was the importance of and mysteries surrounding the thyroid gland. We are also talked with Michael Greger, MD about his new book with the subtle title How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease. Dr. Greger is known for his website NutritionFacts.org. (My guess was right—he did not make a case for a diet of McRib sandwiches and toaster pastries.)
