K-9s for Warriors – they say: “returning our Warriors to a life of dignity and independence. Determined to end veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors provides highly-trained Service Dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma. With the majority of dogs coming from high-kill rescue shelters, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery.”

The Warrior Dog Foundation “transitions our country’s working K9s from an operational environment into retirement. Providing mental and physical rehabilitation, and rehoming options to Military Working Dogs (MWD), Contract Working Dogs (CWD) and Law Enforcement K9s that otherwise would be euthanized.” (Charity Navigator did not give this group a good score on finances. I think that is often a challenge for good charities that are new and/or small charities. You can adopt a dog from them.)
Tunnel to Towers Foundation Honoring military and first responders. Providing Gold Star families with mortgage free homes and disabled veterans with accessible homes.
