Chicken pox – the “gift” that keeps on giving
Shingles may be great to keep your roof from leaking, but the painful disease…not good at all.

Most of you probably know someone who has had this awful condition. (Well, you do know me for one.) Often folks suffer the effects of shingles for many weeks or even months. I dispatched mine in a week.

Thanks to a request from Rick, a listener, I was reminded to pull my thoughts together on getting over shingles fast. It made more sense to make it into a reference page on the website rather than just a newsletter. It is the top link after you link to this page. (I am sending you to that directory page instead of to the article itself because I thought some of you might want to check out other information available there about the flu, the immune system and vaccines.)

If shingles does hit (I hope not) you don’t want to have to remember where on the vast internet you saw the remedies. Maybe it would be good to print the page out and keep it in the medicine cabinet or somewhere handy.

Last Week
LINK to that show in the archives. Dr. Michael Einsohn and I discussed the surprisingly large and diverse amount of health information provided by a thermographic scan. He is the founder of the Thermography Center of Dallas. Psychologist, writer and fitness buff, Dennis Kravitz, and I went into his book, A Sound Mind in a Sound Body: Live Long, Live Healthy. The Dirt Doctor, Howard Garrett finished off his summer series by telling us how to keep our plants from drying out and yet still conserve water.

Please help spread the good word-forward this newsletter to friends and family.
