test

Did you know that a great many (likely all) health issues such as allergies, anxiety, overweight, thyroid and even your risk of covid-19 trouble can be related to your genes? Something like tinnitus (ringing in the ears) might be a symptom of a bigger genetics related health problem and you can learn how to improve it. My guest, Joe Cohen, is the founder and CEO of SelfDecode, the ultimate biotech software platform for DNA and lab-based health recommendations. Joe leads a team of trained scientists, MDs, PhDs and skilled engineers. The team has helped thousands of people take charge of their health using holistic and natural recommendations based on their own personal health data. Use the code MARTIE20 to get 20% off any SelfDecode purchase.

The rest of the story

In last week’s blog I reviewed about half of my recent interview with Peter A. McCullough, MD. When I realized the blog was getting too long (and I was running out of time) I saved the rest for this week. He talked about vaccine effectiveness, risks, final approval, trends, treatment and the Novavax shot which is not yet available.

 UPDATE

  • Testosterone Levels. On the show last week, Fred Pescatore, MD discussed the importance of testosterone (for men and women). These are what he said about levels in his July newsletter: “As a rule of thumb, optimal testosterone levels are dependent on age. The younger you are, the higher it should be. Ideal T levels for a 20-year-old man (when testosterone is at its peak) are usually somewhere around 1,500 ng/dL. That would drop to 1,200 ng/dL at age 30, 1,000 ng/dL at 40, 800 ng/dL at 50, 700 ng/dL at 60, 600 ng/dL at 70, and so on.” He recommends bioidentical hormones.

 QUOTE of the week

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.” Arthur Schopenhauer

LISTEN to that show in the archives.

Fred Pescatore, MD was my guest. He is one of the most sought-after integrative physicians in the country. (You would likely recognize the names of some of the high-profile patients of his Manhattan practice.) Warning…there were some technical issues causing periodic breakups but the sound does come back..We discussed the surprising health benefits of mushrooms. He also let us know how the hormone testosterone relates covid-19 risk and its other benefits. Dr. Pescatore is the author of a number of books, including: The Science of AHCC: Japan’s Medical Breakthrough in Immunotherapy; The A-List Diet: Lose up to 15 Pounds and Look and Feel Younger in Just 2 Weeks; The Allergy and Asthma Cure: A Complete 8-Step Nutritional Program; and Feed Your Kids Well: How to Help Your Child Lose Weight and Get Healthy. On his website you will find a link to his newsletter and free report on Alzheimer’s. Dr. Fred has a YouTube channel. This links to a recent show on a trick to fool proof your diet.
