Those of us blessed to live in homes with a roof, heat/air and indoor plumbing plus have a stocked refrigerator, probably cannot even imagine what it would be like to be homeless…the extreme discomfort, shame and obvious health challenges of living on a park bench or under a bridge and begging for scraps of food. It is a widely believed that the answer is to give the homeless a house, but that is a MYTH. As it turns out, the situation is much like what we discuss weekly on the show regarding health—it is wiser to solve the basic issue that caused the problem so that it does not become a repeating pattern. If you are like me and sincerely want to help homeless folks (especially the veterans) you might also worry that giving money to panhandlers may just support an addiction. Please tune in this week to learn from Bob Sweeney, Executive Director of the unique, nationally-respected Dallas Life shelter about their impressive program. Dallas Life views homelessness as a cry for rehabilitation and provides that in a respectful, intelligent and comprehensive way. It is 90% effective in helping their participants permanently back into a normal job-supported home life. (The average success rate for shelters is only 10%.) We’ll not only tell how to best help the panhandler on the corner, but also give listeners a variety of effective ways to help their community eradicate this shameful stain on our society. I couldn’t take notes fast enough Saturday when Sherry Rogers, MD was on the show telling us how to avoid the coronavirus. I had never before heard the approach she suggested. It involved keeping our cell membranes from creating entry points for the virus. I figured I might not be the only one who would appreciate a review. So, I listened again and created one. |

Enlightened doctors around the world appreciate the way she uses logic to analyze research and create effective programs to restore wellness. Dr. Rogers had a unique take on the coronavirus. I also asked her about something I hear about frequently, a-fib (atrial fibrillation.) She mentioned the 7 M’s to watch out for. Here is the blog that listed those. Details about her books, outstanding newsletter, and phone consultations are on: the Prestige Publishing site. Or call Prestige at 800-846-6687.
