| We have a packed show this week with interesting topics representing exhibitors who will be at our upcoming Health, Home, and Garden Expo. A fun previous guest with a radio voice (Jack Brown from Lily of the Desert) turns the tables and interviews me about the 4th edition of my book on Aloe vera which will be available at the HHGexpo. Then I talk with Collin West about the importance of filtering our shower water. He is an expert with the e-Water Health Emporium (800.964.4303). They give a discount to our listeners with the code HBNSHOW. Next, we learn what we didn’t know about vitamin E from Certified Clinical Nutritionist and author David Getoff. He is the author of Abundant Health in a Toxic World. His appearance is sponsored by the makers of Unique E. Last but certainly not least, Sherry Maines from TRHomeopathics explains how safe and beneficial homeopathics can be for plants. Topics include: coffee not a diruretic?; cholesterol in food as brain food; saturated fat controversy; concerns about the validity of psychiatry; one sweet drink a day and cancer risk; alternative to daily aspirin; cholesterol not a predictor of heart risk?; scary chemicals in nail polish; and Robert F. Two pharmacists! Pharmacist and Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN), Ray Solano of PDLabs helped us understand how the increase in allergies, GERD, constipation and autoimmune diseases (think rheumatoid arthritis and lupus for example) are connected to a new class of drugs (think Humara). Their side effects include leukemia and blood disorders. Joining him was Jim LaValle, a pharmacist, CCN and prolific author. He wrote Your Blood Never Lies: How to Read a Blood Test for a Longer, Healthier Life, and the bestseller, Cracking the Metabolic Code: 9 Keys to Optimal Health. We also discussed the brain product Synapsin. Then Dr. Ross Pelton R.Ph., Ph.D., CCN talked about summer digestive issues. He is the Scientific Director for Essential Formulas, Inc. At the end of the show, we heard from Charlotte Yorkson of Kaleidoscope Farm about a wonderfully natural way to fertilize all of our plants. |
